Houses of Holdings: Wealth in Astrology Part 3

I often get asked about the role of astrology in predicting wealth and prosperity. While the planets and signs play significant roles, as I shared in the last two weeks, it's actually the houses that act as the stage upon which the planets express. 

When you divide the sky into twelve sections you get the 12 months of the year, the 12 signs of the zodiac, and the 12 houses. Each house represents a different area of life. 

Some houses are most often associated with wealth and prosperity, such as the 11th house of financial gains. Other houses are most often associated with financial challenges like the 12th house of losses. These are both true, but they are oversimplifications. 

The 11th house shows the income and gains you receive from your profession or business. It’s the house of fulfillment of desires and represents your ambitions. If you have planets well placed here in your chart or in transits, you’re likely to have great gains in your work. But what if you don’t have any planets here? Or if you have a challenging placement here? 

In the same way, while the 12th house shows losses, what if you have planets that are well placed here? Or no planets?
